1. How Long Have You Been in Business?

Benchmark Woodworks was established in 1983.  Our craftsmen, project managers and engineers have spent their careers in this field. Our many years of experience bring and expertise that will benefit your project.

2. What kind of work does Benchmark do?

We produce a variety of millwork products.  Retail Store and Restaurant interior millwork packages, Architectural Millwork, Commercial Casework and Medical Office buildout makes up our work. Examples of such work would be: Reception Desks, Point of Sale Stations, Office Cabinetry, Nurses Stations, Jewelry Cases, Restaurant Booths, Bars and Server Stations.

3. What size is the company?

Our facility is 45,000 square feet. A full acre under roof!  We average approximately 20 employees.

4. Do you perform design work?

We generally work from designs created by our customer’s architects and design professionals.  We then take those designs and engineer the wood fabrication techniques required to achieve the desired product.

5. Can Benchmark do Value Engineering?

Yes! Value Engineering is part of our responsibility to our customers.  We always aim for the most practical execution of a project. Choosing appropriate materials and construction methods inherently creates the best value for our customers. This is our life’s work and we are proud of it.

6. Does Benchmark do installation work?

Yes! When we are responsible for the installation of the finished products, we work with a select group of partner companies that specialize in millwork installation.  These companies that contract with us for installation, work closely with us to ensure that details are accurate, fit and finish are to specification, and deadlines are met.

7. What geographical area do you cover?

We ship millwork and fixture packages all over the U.S.  Many of our customers have multiple locations in various regions of the country. We frequently ship products to Canada. Our cabinets have been installed as far away as Okinawa, Japan!

8. How do you deliver product?

It depends on the type & size of the project. For projects in close proximity to our shop, we sometimes deliver in our own truck.  Other jobs are crated and shipped via Motor Freight, or blanket wrapped and shipped in a dedicated point to point truck.  Our goals for shipping are: on time, no damage to product, best value.

9. Can Benchmark provide CAD shop drawings?

Yes!  All of our projects begin with CAD drawings prepared by our experienced engineering department.  These drawings are submitted to the customer for review and approval prior to the start of production.

10. Can you do finishing?

Yes! Our experienced finishers are able to apply many types of wood finishes from solid color paints to beautiful stained finishes with transparent top coats.  Many of the finishes we apply are catalyzed for increased durability.  Our finishes are applied using various types of spray painting equipment.

11. What shop equipment do you have?

Our equipment consists of modern CNC panel processing machinery as well as traditional woodworking machines.

12. Does Benchmark fabricate with materials other than wood and laminates?

Our shop is set up for wood, laminates and solid surface (corian) fabrication only. However, we have relationships with industry partners and vendors in other disciplines with whom we collaborate to furnish our customers with complete turnkey packages which often include Glass, Metal, Stone, Solid Surface, and Upholstery.
